Then around 4 months, her doctor said we could try putting rice cereal in her bottle (Dr. Browns, Y cut, I think it was like 1 tsp per ounce or something?), and voile, she suddenly was sleeping at night. It wasn't technically considered a solid, since it was just thickening my breast milk feed (which many babies with reflux do anyway). I guess she just was too hungry without it. I'm not sure if it was 4 months adjusted or regular, though. But do know that might be a possibility in the future to help you get more sleep!Twins and a toddlerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16387622915840468719noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329359309216641780.post-38022423265100674942009-07-15T16:20:01.465-07:002009-07-15T16:20:01.465-07:00It is great that things are working out with Sara ...It is great that things are working out with Sara - it is always better when you can have family care for your children, and it has to give you a sense of relief.

I'm SOOO glad to hear that the increased Zantac is working! I found that even a .1 or .2 increase would make such a big difference. I started calling every time Micah gained a lb so they could authorize the increased dosage. We also keep mylanta on hand - for the week or so before he is ready for a dosage increase, we sometimes have to give him a dose of mylanta in the evenings to get him through. - TkeysMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18268690872654358064noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329359309216641780.post-57485326137036051692009-07-14T19:27:56.459-07:002009-07-14T19:27:56.459-07:00Ok so I tried to post a comment yesterday but it w...Ok so I tried to post a comment yesterday but it wouldn't let me so here it goes :-)

YAY for good test results! Hopefully the increase in Zantac will help her. I can only imagine being a baby with that kind of pain not knowing how to fix it and what it is.

YAY for Riley sleeping 6 hours! Hopefully it is the start of a beautiful nights sleep. Hopefully Addison will be on board soon. You (and Sara) will feel like a whole new woman when you eliminate a feeding. There is light at the end of the tunnel. Cohen sleeps from 7-4 and then until 6-7. We are working on elliminating the 4am feeding :-)BCBC Rogershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07073481831944745761noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329359309216641780.post-29042444386885366692009-07-14T16:44:51.263-07:002009-07-14T16:44:51.263-07:00They need to be reminded that they are supposed to...They need to be reminded that they are supposed to be on the same schedule so mommy can sleep! LOL! I am glad all went well with her monitor and I hope the reflux will be better with the new dose.Karihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15360931454491596736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2329359309216641780.post-55057008318580499002009-07-13T20:48:04.078-07:002009-07-13T20:48:04.078-07:00I hope the increased dosage works! Maybe tonight ...I hope the increased dosage works! Maybe tonight the girls will BOTH cooperate. It really does make a big difference with Micah - he gets super cranky when his reflux is bothering him or he is in need of a food increase (either an increase in bottle size, or now, more solid food). Oh, and eliminating one of those nighttime feeds makes SUCH a big difference in your quality of life - hope that happens for you soon. - TessMehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18268690872654358064noreply@blogger.com
