Here is what the witching hour looks like at our house. This is the 1 hour right before bed time. This is how the girls are just about every night. They already go to bed at 6pm but they are still over-tired by 5pm.
Watch the video to see what I mean. We love our girls dearly and wouldn't change anything for the world, but we wanted to show you the work involved at what our house sounds like every night. Enjoy:

wowzers!!!
ReplyDeleteMy dog was really funny just now - his ears were all perked up wondering what the heck that noise was!!! Oh he just needs to wait another month..... :)
It sounds like P2X2! That cry means 'put down the *&^*% camera and pick us up now!!!!'. :) Bed at 6pm, I just can't wrap my head around that! It's 8:20pm and I just put P2 down!
ReplyDeletehow funny. i wanted to write wowzers before I saw the first comment. cougar gets the same way at 5 and goes to bed at 6, but then he gets up at 6am. i want to try stretching the evenings to a later bed time so i can sleep in a little.
ReplyDeleteOh how much that sounds like my house at 7 pm! 6 pm bedtime...ahhhh! I bet it doesn't come fast enough!
ReplyDeleteUgh - that is never fun. We spent a lot of timing playing with naps and snacks and meals to find the right combination. Micah was on 3 naps a day until maybe 9 months, and when he switched to 2, he still needed at least 3 hours of sleep. He also needs his bottle and a snack by 4:30 or 5 or he starts to fall apart, and he needs dinner around 6 or 6:30 or all hell breaks loose! I hope your witching hour passes soon and you can find a magic combination to soothe them before bed. - Tess
ReplyDeleteHAHA! Sorry but I couldn't help but laugh..life with twins. Of course I'm sure they were less than pleased with mommy getting the camera out instead of picking them up LOL!
ReplyDeleteOh what I have to look forward to! :) I love how Jesse is watching the football game in the background obviously tuning out the girls...you can tell it happens a lot! :)
ReplyDeleteUgh not fun..... ours aren't too bad usually (but 5x a week they're in the car around dinner time anyway) Tonight wasn't their best - tired babies are not happy babies at all.
