The doctors were almost going to send her home today, but they want to give it one more night to make sure she is up to speed on her feedings and they want to show me how to administer her medication and listen to her heart at home in case she goes into another bad rhythm. She hasn't had another episode since the first one so the medication is doing its job, but better safe than sorry.
She will have her car seat test later tonight along with her bath and she should be all ready to come home. I have my post-partum appointment with my OB and then we get to head over to the hospital and take her home.
I am so happy to finally have both my girls at home but I am deathly scared of how difficult it will be to have 2 preemie newborns at home to care for. My sister has been fantastic, and she has helped with the night time feedings. Now we need to get daddy in the mix so we can all get some sleep at some point.
