Pictures

I just though I would share some recent pictures of the girls...

Things have gone better in the evenings with the girls the last few days. I have increased the volume of milk in their bottles and I am still working on giving them time at the breast. It is a slow process to get them used to the breast again and I may have our lactation come out for a visit to see if she has any pointers for me.
Both girls seem to really love their swaddle blankets and they almost instantly fall asleep after we give them a bath, feed them and put them in their blankets. I have to say that the blankets have really helped their mood. They look like little mummies in the blankets and it is nice to have them drift off to sleep so quickly.
Riley also rolled over yesterday. I'm pretty sure it was an accident, but I wanted to document the occasion. Maybe she will do it again and show us she does know what she is doing!!!

  1. They definitely look alike in the picture with their blankies! I still can't believe how big they are getting. Time flys I tell you!

  2. Donna ~ you are right, they are growing up too fast. I want it to slow down already. :)

  3. They are just getting so big and even more adorable as the days go on. So I'm gonna keep posting this until it becomes true, I'm still waiting to see them in little Skins outfits- do you need me to send you some from DC?

  5. Hey!! I wanted to let you know about the vaccine book that I had and was reading. It's really great. I don't totally disagree with vaccines, but I don't really like how many they get at once. I was going to hold off on the Hep. B too. Babies don't need that one, especially right away!! Anyway, check out this book. I put a link to it on Amazon.

  6. I haven't heard of that book you were telling me about, but the Dr. Sears one goes both ways. He tells you what's wrong with the vaccines, but also what they are used for, why they are used, and what types of children should have them. He gives you both sides of the vaccine debate and he also gives you alternate schedules for vaccines and will also give you names of vaccines that could be alternates to the more common one. He talks about how giving too many of certain kinds at once could potentially be harmful because of ingredients, etc. It's a really good book. A friend of mine who is delaying vaccines for her children recommended it. She has only given both of her kids the Dtap one or whatever it is. I think that's it. Hope that helps!!
